May is a gorgeous time of the year here in the Tricities. The average high temperature for May is 75.5 and I’ve been told that the pool at the Shilo Inn is usually up and running by then. You’ll find me in the hot tub with a nice cold frappuccino at hand.
The Shilo Inn is located on the banks of the Columbia River and adjacent to golf and restaurants. Take note that beautiful walking trails follow the river for miles, so if you are coming in from out of town be sure to bring your walking shoes–you don’t want to miss out on this fabulous walk.
My dad was down visiting this past summer, and while he was here we took in the sights along the river. He was amazed at how this corner of Washington (with most of it being desert) was also such a water wonderland–boaters love it here!
Dad and I also decided it might be a good idea to organize a wine tour for Friday May 3, the day before the main conference. So, if you’re in the mood to drink wine, make friends and discuss the Holy Spirit–then Richland, WA is most definitely the place to be. I’ll send out more information on the wine tour as I get it all sorted out. Thanks Dad, for coming down. I’ll see you at the conference!
